Disabled People South Africa (DPSA) is a leading national non-profit organisation committed to promoting and protecting the human rights of persons with disabilities in South Africa. Its vision is to create an inclusive, accessible, and equitable society.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate Skills Development projects.
- Develop and implement project plans.
- Oversee budgets and ensure effective, transparent use of resources.
- Monitor progress, manage risks, and prepare narrative and financial reports.
- Maintain project, learner, and participant databases.
- Build relationships with government, civil society, DPOs, and donors.
- Lead stakeholder meetings to track progress.
- Resource mobilisation and fundraising (including proposals to SETAs/funders).
- Support national and provincial fundraising initiatives.
Requirements
- Diploma in Project Management or Development Studies.
- Minimum 2 years’ project management experience.
- Knowledge of the disability sector and social model of disability (advantage).
- Certificates in Facilitation/Assessment/Moderation and SETA experience (advantage).
- Proven fundraising track record.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, interpersonal, and time management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Multilingual ability (English + 1–2 South African languages an advantage).
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Live in Cape Town, Western Cape or be willing to relocate.
