Purpose of the Role
To lead and integrate the companys sales and marketing functionsensuring revenue growth, brand strength, and customer satisfaction across South Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership Develop and execute national and regional sales strategies for commercial vehicle distribution. Manage dealer performance, fleet client relationships, and direct sales channels. Monitor sales KPIs and adjust tactics to meet quarterly and annual targets.
- Marketing Oversight Oversee brand positioning, advertising, and promotional campaigns. Align marketing efforts with product launches, seasonal demand, and customer segments. Ensure compliance with local advertising standards and cultural relevance.
- Strategic Planning & Reporting Collaborate with General Manager to align commercial strategy with business goals. Prepare monthly performance reports and market analysis for executive review. Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve customer experience and retention.
- Team Leadership Manage department heads: Regional Sales Manager, Regional Marketing Manager. Support recruitment, training, and development of commercial staff. Promote a performance-driven, customer-centric culture.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelors degree in business, Marketing, or Automotive Management (MBA preferred).
- 15+ years in senior commercial roles within automotive sectors.
- Proven leadership in dealer network management and fleet sales.
- Strong understanding of South African automotive regulations and SADC market dynamics.
