Requirements:

  • Matric (Grade 12) and tertiary qualification in Finance or Legal Studies.
  • Diploma in Credit Management (Levels 1–4) or equivalent finance-related qualification.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in credit control or debtors’ management, preferably within the FMCG industry.
  • 7+ years’ overall experience in Credit Management, including proven team leadership.
  • Experience in the auto finance industry is advantageous.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and data analysis).
  • Knowledge of credit scoring models, risk assessment, financial analysis, and collection processes.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Evaluate customer creditworthiness and establish suitable credit limits and payment terms.
  • Monitor customer accounts, manage collections, and resolve overdue or disputed payments.
  • Identify and mitigate credit risk through continuous monitoring and financial analysis.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve credit issues.
  • Prepare, review, and present credit performance reports and analytical insights to management.
  • Ensure compliance with credit policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
  • Oversee the credit control function to ensure timely payments and healthy cash flow.
  • Lead, coach, and support the credit team to achieve performance targets and maintain high service standards.
