NATIONAL ACCOUNTS MANAGER: MODERN TRADE

My client (FMCG) is seeking an experienced and dynamic National Accounts Manager to drive growth within the Modern Trade channel.

The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding sales volumes, managing profitability, and strengthening the company’s presence across all Modern Trade Customers.

  • Delivering on set volume budgets across all categories.
  • Acting as the key liaison between Regional Account Managers, Sales Operations, and Marketing teams.
  • Managing customer P&L and ensuring profitability through effective planning and execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the annual strategic planning process in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and submit account business plans aligned with channel strategies.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to optimize promotional activities and ensure ROI.
  • Finalize and implement tactical account plans through the business planning process.
  • Manage trading terms, conduct regular business reviews, and track KPI-driven performance.
  • Monitor sales metrics and trends, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead and support regional managers in achieving customer KPIs.
  • Drive profitability improvements per customer through efficiencies and optimized budgeting.
  • Work jointly with category management to implement frameworks at account level.
Required Skills
