Job summary

Switch Consultants in Cape Town is seeking a Multi Media / Graphic Designer to craft logos, social assets, packaging, and short-form motion content. You will develop creative concepts, maintain brand standards, and collaborate with marketing to deliver assets on time.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years' experience, proficiency in After Effects, InDesign and Photoshop, and a keen eye for typography and visual storytelling.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Graphic Design or Visual Communication.
• Minimum 5 years experience as a Graphic Designer.
• Conceptualise, design and implement logos, social media posts and packaging labels.
• Create short form motion content including animation, reels and gifs.
• Produce infographics and motion graphics knowledge.
• Proficient in After Effects/Premiere Pro, InDesign and Photoshop.

Responsibilities

• Interpret briefs, define requirements and schedule projects.
• Create drafts, present feedback, adjust and sign off.
• Coordinate with internal and external resources.
• Ensure brand consistency across all assets.
• Maintain and improve style guides and asset templates.
• Manage and organize all sales and marketing materials.
• Support portal and website administration as required.

• Proven experience in the conceptualisation, design, and implementation of:
  • Logos
  • Social media posts
  • Packaging labels
• Short form motion / video content, including animation, reels, social videos, and gifs
• Infographics
• Highly proficient in:
  • After Effects/Premier Pro or equivalent video editing software
  • InDesign
  • Photoshop
• Knowledge of:
  • Latest design techniques, tools, and principles
  • Typography
  • Media production, communication, and dissemination techniques
  • Motion graphics

Reporting
