Job summary

A leading facilities management company in Johannesburg is seeking a dedicated individual to manage office furniture moves and support IT teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in operational delivery and customer service, ensuring all tasks are performed safely and efficiently. Strong communication skills and the ability to resolve client queries are essential. This position is full-time, located on-site in Johannesburg.

Qualifications

  • Ability to move and position office furniture and equipment.
  • Experience assembling and disassembling furniture.
  • Basic understanding of asset labelling.

Duties & Responsibilities
Operational Delivery
  • Move and position office furniture and equipment in and around the campus.
  • Assemble and disassemble furniture as required.
  • Carry out basic labelling of assets during moves.
  • Support I.T. teams with safe movement of I.T.-related equipment.
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out safely and in line with OHS requirements.
  • Keep storage / workshop areas neat tidy and organised.
  • Take before-and-after photos of completed work for record purposes.
  • Maintain tools in good working order.
  • Report and log all moves and churns activities via the TFS Helpdesk.
  • Undertake inspections of store areas and equipment as directed by the Supervisor.
  • Lead and direct the Moves and Churns Assistant
Service Delivery Management
  • Ensuring performance requirements are met (SLAs and performance management)
  • Maintain an accurate record of all Move and churns requests actioned.
  • Work with teams to develop and maintain a customer‑focused attitude toward activities
Customer Focus
  • Interact with clients to provide and process information in response to enquiries concerns and requests about services
  • Work with processes and procedures in such a way that operational efficiencies and performance are enhanced
  • Attend to and resolve all client queries timeously or escalates when necessary
  • Follow up and follow through on all escalated queries timeously
  • Manage conflict
Reporting

Update and maintain all relevant records on a daily to ensure all activity is recorded
