Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a skilled mobile software engineer in Stellenbosch to join a cross-functional R&D team. You will contribute to building and improving a mobile application, implementing features and addressing performance issues in an Agile setting.

Ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience with a computing-related degree and hands-on experience with Flutter, Java, Kotlin, Swift and Objective-C, plus strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with a degree (BSc/BEng or similar) in a computing-focused field.
• Hands-on experience with mobile technologies including Flutter, Java, Kotlin, Swift and Objective-C.
• Experience with Agile development methodologies.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

• Hands-on experience in working with mobile technologies like Flutter, Java, Kotlin, Swift, Objective-C and modern mobile libraries

Responsibilities:

• Work in a cross functional team of Product Managers, UI designers, QAs and developers to add features that serve our customers
• Develop, maintain and expand the company's mobile app functionality
• Address performance problems at scale
• Find and fix software defects
• Design, implement and test in an Agile environment
• Investigate problem areas and provide innovative recommendations for improvement
• Work with the rest of the R&D team to keep improving
