Job summary

Placements24 partners with a leading AI & Emerging Technologies company in Mahikeng, North West to hire an experienced MLOps Engineer. You will design, deploy, and monitor scalable ML pipelines, collaborating with data scientists and software engineers to operationalize AI solutions in production.

The role focuses on CI/CD for ML, model deployment, infrastructure for training and inference, and ensuring robust, secure systems across AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering or a related field.
• 3+ years in software engineering, DevOps, or MLOps.
• Hands-on with MLOps tools such as MLflow, Kubeflow or Seldon Core.
• Proficient in Python or Bash scripting.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP and IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible.
• Understanding of ML concepts and workflows.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience within the Mahikeng, North West region is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for machine learning models.
• Automate the deployment, testing, and monitoring of ML models in production environments.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure for ML training and inference.
• Collaborate with data scientists to optimize models for production readiness.
• Implement tools and processes for model versioning, lineage tracking, and experiment management.
• Monitor model performance and retrain models as needed.
• Ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of ML systems.
• Work with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to ML deployments.
