A safety solutions provider in Gauteng is seeking a Safety Officer to oversee compliance with mine and project safety regulations. The candidate must have relevant certifications and experience in risk assessments and incident investigations. Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) required.
• Health and Safety Certificate / Diploma essential.
• SAMTRAC qualification is a must.
• Experience in incident investigation desired.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all staff attend necessary medicals and inductions.
• Update safety files with new licenses and permits.
• Prepare appointment letters for various staff.
• Attend safety meetings and report back.
• Conduct risk assessments and method statements.

Skills

Incident investigation experience

Excellent knowledge of the various mines

Good interpersonal skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Proficient in reading and writing in English

Education

Grade 12 (Matric)
