Job summary

A global mining client is seeking an experienced Chief Safety Officer based in Limpopo, South Africa. The successful candidate will implement and monitor safety control systems according to organizational and legislative requirements. Candidates should have a degree in Occupational Safety and at least 10 years of mining experience, with 5 years in a safety leadership role. Preference will be given to Historically Disadvantaged South Africans (HDSA) from local communities. Applications are only accepted from South African citizens and permanent residents.

Qualifications

• 10 years mining experience, with 5 years as Chief Safety Officer.
• Experience performing internal workshop/site inspections and participating in HSEQ management system audits.

Responsibilities

• Apply and monitor the application of safety control systems and procedures.
• Manage execution of safety function activities according to MHSA regulations.

Education
