Job description

Introduction

Our client is seeking a Junior and Senior Millwright to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have a background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with a proven track record of diagnosing and repairing industrial machinery and fabrication, not shift work

Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to ensure minimal downtime.
• Install, dismantle, and move industrial equipment as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure the longevity of equipment.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure production goals are met.
• Adhere to safety standards and protocols at all times.

Desired Experience & Qualification

• Red Seal Trade Test (Millwright) certification is required.
• At least 2 yrs years of experience as a Millwright in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
• MUST be able to speak Afrikaans fluently.
