RPO's client is seeking a skilled Millwright to join their team in Pietermaritzburg at an electrical manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing and dismantling machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Install new machinery and equipment according to set specifications
• Perform routine maintenance on machinery to prevent breakdowns
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
• Repair or replace faulty parts as needed
• Disassemble and reassemble machinery for maintenance or repairs
• Perform preventative maintenance to prolong the lifespan of machinery
• Follow safety protocols and regulations at all times
• Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance work performed

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Millwright in an electrical manufacturing setting
• Trade certification as a Millwright
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
• Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving
• Excellent attention to detail and precision
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
