Job summary

A leading recruitment firm seeks a Maintenance Millwright to maintain and repair electrical and mechanical systems in a beverage plant. The role requires strong expertise in troubleshooting automated production lines, with at least 5-10 years of experience in the FMCG manufacturing environment. Qualifications

Job description
Maintenance Millwright

To maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all electrical and mechanical systems across the production and packaging lines within the beverage plant. The role ensures optimal equipment performance, reduced downtime, and compliance with all safety and operational standards. Experience with refrigeration systems and chillers will be a strong advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on electrical panels, wiring, sensors, and control systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues on production lines, conveyors, pumps, motors, and packaging machinery.
  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and ensure equipment longevity.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with OHS Act and all safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, repair records, and installation documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with production teams and provide technical support or training when required.
  • Be available for standby and emergency call-outs after hours, weekends, and public holidays.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Millwright Trade Test.
  • N3/N4 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Code 10 Drivers License with PDP.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a beverage or FMCG manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record in maintaining automated production lines and packaging equipment.
  • Strong electrical knowledge, including PLCs, drives, and motor control systems.
  • Mechanical expertise across pumps, conveyors, compressors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
  • Exposure to refrigeration systems and chillers is highly advantageous.
