Job summary

Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd. is seeking a senior role to shape governance, diagnose methodologies, and provide strategic direction on capital investment projects.

The role focuses on developing and advancing project management capabilities within Eskom/Division to ensure successful project delivery under a 2-year fixed term contract for the X17 position. Responsibilities include policy improvement, strategic framework formulation, governance implementation, data integrity evaluation, and mentorship.

Qualifications

• BSc/B Eng Degree in Engineering or similar.
• Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying/Built Environment at NQF8 with 480 credits.
• Relevant professional registration or accreditation may be required.

Responsibilities

• Explore, diagnose, recommend and improve policies, standards and best practices.
• Formulate and position the strategic framework for project management capabilities for projects.
• Identify, interpret, review and implement project management governance and methodology.
• Conceptualise, formulate strategic direction and report on project management capabilities for capital investments.
• Evaluate, advise and report on data integrity within designated systems for project management capabilities.
• Mentor and coach on project management capabilities.

Introduction

To formulate, diagnose, and interpret governance and methodology, to provide an independent overview andstrategic direction on projects, programmes, and portfolios related to capital investment according to Eskom andinternational best practices and standards, to build and advance the project management capability inEskom/Division to deliver projects successfully. This is a 2-year contract for the X17 position.

• 1. Explore, diagnose, recommend and improve policies, standards and best practices.
• 2. Formulate and position the strategic framework for project management capabilities for projects.
• 3. Identify, interpret, review and recommend the formulation and implementation of project management capabilities, governance and methodology.
• 4. Conceptualise, formulate strategic direction and report on matters related to project management capabilities for capital investment projects.
• 5. Evaluate, advise and report on data integrity within the designated systems for the project management capabilities.
• 6. Mentor and coach on project management capabilities.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• BSc/B Eng Degree in Engineering/
• Honours Degree in Quantity
• Surveying/Built Environment at NQF8
• with 480 credits
