Job summary

Publicis Groupe Africa is seeking a Mid Level Copywriter to shape messaging for a leading telecom client. You will craft clear, distinctive copy across digital, social, film and retail formats, collaborating with art direction and other disciplines to ensure a cohesive brand voice and compelling storytelling.

You’ll balance creativity with precision, adapting tone to platforms and audiences, while leveraging approved AI tools to enhance ideation and execution.

Qualifications

• Three to four years of relevant copywriting experience in an agency or related creative environment.
• A portfolio showing strong conceptual projects and digital thinking.
• Strong written English with ability to adapt copy across formats, audiences and tones.
• Working proficiency in Word and presentation software such as PowerPoint or Keynote; experience with scripts and production is advantageous.
• Hands-on experience applying AI tools to copywriting with evidence of original thinking and editorial judgment.

Responsibilities

• Interrogate briefs to understand business objectives, audience, proposition and mandatory information.
• Develop campaign concepts with art directors and other disciplines across channels.
• Write and refine headlines, scripts and social/digital copy ensuring consistent tone of voice.
• Coordinate copy decks, scripts and presentation materials with clear version control.
• Use AI tools for research, ideation and copy exploration while maintaining privacy and originality.
