A leading homewares specialist in South Africa is seeking a Merchandising Admin to support the merchandising team by managing purchase orders, reviewing supplier reports, and ensuring data accuracy. Job description

Our long-standing and renowned client is a homewares specialist who has created a position for a Merchandising Admin to join their growing team. Reporting to the Senior Merchandiser, you will be involved with assisting with tasks to support the merchandising team.

Merchandising Admin Responsibilities
  • Raising new purchase orders and processing any necessary amendments to ensure accuracy and alignment with supplier agreements
  • Regularly reviewing the weekly Order Status Reports provided by suppliers, identifying any updates or delays and communicating these changes promptly to the merchandising and QC teams
  • Comparing and validating information received from both customers and suppliers against internal records, identifying discrepancies and making appropriate connections
  • Assisting in the set up and administration of new product listings, ensuring all relevant data, documentation and system entries are completed accurately and on time
  • Producing regular and ad hoc reports for account managers and merchandising to support analysis, decision-making, and performance tracking
  • Responding to customer queries and handling various ad hoc administrative tasks
