Overview

The Meeting & Events Sales Manager will be responsible for generating profitable business across all conferencing, events, and wedding segments. You will act as the single point of contact for clients and wedding couples from initial enquiry through to handover to the operations teams, ensuring seamless execution.

Key responsibilities
  • Proactively sourcing and converting enquiries for meetings, conferences, events, and weddings
  • Managing direct wedding client relationships, from initial enquiry to confirmation
  • Building and maintaining relationships with corporates, NGOs, facilitators, planners, and suppliers
  • Conducting site inspections and representing the properties professionally
  • Full pre-event and pre-wedding planning, including schedules, room allocations, catering, AV, décor, and special requests
  • Delivering structured handovers to operations teams for flawless execution
  • Maintaining a forward-looking sales pipeline and achieving agreed revenue, room-night, and profitability targets
  • Reporting on performance, pipeline, and conversion metrics
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base salary: R25,000 – R35,000 per month, with exceptional candidates considered above
  • Commission on confirmed meetings, events, and weddings revenue
