Purpose of the Job

To process all blood requests and all related queries sufficiently and effectively, and to perform other general duties as specified by the Manager – Component Processing. Maintain quality blood products with focus being patient safety and compliance.

Job Description

• Perform technical, operational and administrative duties, which include product sample preparation, testing, and correlation of results. Preparation and issuing of blood products according to Work Instructions; Product label control.
• Assists with training and staff competence. Co-ordinate processes with reference to inventory, equipment, communication, continuous improvement, queries, document control, and record keeping.
• Multiskilled within the Processing department
