ISTA Personnel Solutions South Africa, is in search of a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Scheduling Coordinator / Agent to join their team in South Africa, working remotely.
In this role, you will be part of a call centre and responsible for coordinating medical appointments, managing schedules, and ensuring seamless communication between patients, healthcare providers, and home care teams.
The ideal candidate will have experience in medical scheduling.
Working Hours : EST hours (15 :
SA working times are subject to change depending on daylight savings.
Internet : Fixed fibre line with minimum speeds of 25 Mbps for both upload and download; capable of supporting a wired Ethernet connection.
Power backup : Must have a power backup solution to manage loadshedding or power outages.
Appointment Coordination : Schedule and manage appointments for patients, ensuring resources and personnel are available.
Communication : Serve as the primary point of contact for patients, families, and healthcare providers, providing updates and addressing scheduling concerns.
Patient Management : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient appointments, medical needs, and preferences.
Home Care Coordination : Collaborate with home care teams to ensure patient needs are met and that all appointments are scheduled in a timely manner.
Problem Solving : Address scheduling conflicts or issues as they arise, finding solutions that work for both the patient and healthcare provider.
Data Entry : Enter and update patient information in the scheduling system with precision.
Compliance : Ensure scheduling practices comply with relevant healthcare regulations and privacy laws.
2–3 years' experience in scheduling and coordination, preferably within a healthcare or home care services
Exceptional communication skills
Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organized
Problem solver
Proficient in Microsoft Office
