Medical Receptionist Private Practice at Greenacres Hospital, Port Elizabeth

We are looking for a professional, friendly, and well‑organised Medical Receptionist to join a reputable Private Practice based at Greenacres Hospital, Port Elizabeth. If you are passionate about patient care, have excellent communication skills, and thrive in a structured and detail‑oriented environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Medical Receptionist

Location

Greenacres Hospital, Port Elizabeth

Working Hours

Monday – Friday | 08:00 – 17:00

No weekends required

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage patient bookings and front desk reception
  • Capture and maintain accurate patient information and data
  • Operate the switchboard and handle incoming/outgoing calls
  • Write and issue receipts for patient payments
  • Obtain authorisations from medical aids
  • Handle general practice administration, correspondence, and queries
  • Respond to daily e‑mails and patient enquiries promptly
  • Book theatre appointments and maintain scheduling accuracy
  • Maintain a clean and neat practice environment ahead of consultation days
  • Change towels and linen regularly in line with hygiene standards
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a medical reception or administrative role (advantageous)
  • Strong computer literacy and familiarity with medical booking systems
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional appearance and conduct
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
