About Us

Central Queensland Radiology (CQR) is part of the Integral Diagnostics (IDX Group) – one of Australia and New Zealand's leading providers of quality diagnostic imaging.

With eight fully accredited practices across Gladstone, Rockhampton, Yeppoon, and Emerald, we deliver world‑class services with a strong regional heart.

We also collaborate closely with our Sunshine Coast Radiology colleagues, providing services across both private clinics and hospitals.

About the Role

We're looking for a friendly and motivated Medical Receptionist to join our welcoming front desk team at Hillcrest Private Hospital.

As the first point of contact, you'll support patients accessing a full range of imaging services – from X-ray, ultrasound to CT and interventional procedures.

This is a Monday to Friday role, rostered between 7.45am and 4.45pm – working a 9-day fortnight with a rotating RDO and no weekends, giving you the work‑life balance you deserve.

A Day in the Life
  • Greeting patients and creating a welcoming first impression
  • Managing bookings, billing, and payments (Medicare, health funds, EFTPOS)
  • Working closely with medical / surgical wards and our technical team
  • Inpatient procedure and CT injection bookings
  • Coordinating with referrers and doctors for appointments and results
  • Attending staff meetings and ongoing training sessions
  • Maintaining compliance with workplace health & safety and company policies
About You

Previous experience in healthcare reception – medical imaging, dental, allied health or similar – highly regarded

A professional, approachable, and confident communication style – in person and over the phone

Knowledge of medical terminology or practice management systems (an advantage)

A collaborative, proactive attitude and high integrity

A well‑presented and patient‑focused approach
