  • Bachelor s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) and completion of community service recognised by the South African Medical and Dental Council.
  • Valid dispensing licence.
  • Proof of residential address within the boundaries of the City of Cape Town.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee ambulance operations remotely or onsite as needed ensuring compliance with medical safety and regulatory standards. Provide clinical guidance to staff and support high-quality patient care.
  • Provide ambulance medical advice and intervention in case of emergency according to the Minimum Norms and Standards.
  • Be available telephonically at any time during emergencies after being appointed as the Ambulance Supervising Medical Practitioner.
  • Provide a dispensing licence for the authorisation and procurement of medication.
  • Be available onsite on arranged dates for protocol visits e.g. Ministerial visits G20 events sports and recreational events.
