Job description

Job Title:

Sales

Job Purpose:

To promote and achieve sales targets for clinical chemistry and hematology instruments and reagents across Saudi Arabia, ensuring market expansion, strong customer relationships, and technical excellence.

The role demands a combination of scientific knowledge, technical understanding, and sales acumen to drive growth of diagnostic systems and laboratory automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Sales & Business Development

Actively promote and sell clinical chemistry analyzers, hematology analyzers, and related reagent lines to hospitals, laboratories, universities, and diagnostic centers. Target large and medium-sized laboratories for equipment placements and reagent contracts.

Achieve assigned quarterly and annual sales targets (SAR value & volume). Grow reagent consumption per analyzer installed.

Technical Pre‑Sales Support

Demonstrate and explain product specifications — throughput (tests/hour), photometric accuracy, reagent volumes, reaction cuvettes, calibration, and QC protocols. Conduct on‑site demos and technical presentations highlighting analytical precision, stability, and reliability.

Number of demos conducted; successful instrument placements; customer feedback.

Reagent & Consumable Management

Monitor reagent consumption patterns, inventory levels, and expiry management. Provide customers with guidance on reagent optimization, stability data, and linearity validation.

Zero reagent stock‑outs; consistent monthly reagent orders from installed base.

Market Expansion & Tender Handling

Identify and qualify new customers in government and private sectors. Participate in tender preparation, technical submissions, and specification matching.

Number of new accounts opened; successful inclusion of products in tenders.

Customer Relationship & After‑Sales Coordination

Maintain strong relationships with laboratory managers, biomedical engineers, and purchasing departments. Coordinate installation, training, and service visits with the technical support team.

Customer retention rate; repeat orders; service feedback reports.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Medical Laboratory Technology, Biochemistry, or related life sciences field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in diagnostic or laboratory equipment sales, preferably focusing on clinical chemistry analyzers, hematology analyzers, and reagents.
  • Strong technical understanding of analytical parameters (e.g., photometric measurement, calibration curves, optical flow cells, impedance counting, hemoglobin determination).
  • Familiarity with automated reagent systems, quality control materials, and maintenance procedures for analyzers.
  • Knowledge of Saudi market dynamics, hospital procurement processes, and tender documentation.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Willingness to travel across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Sales revenue for chemistry and hematology segments.
  • Installed base growth (number of new analyzers placed).
