Summary

Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) provide critical information for diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention by conducting laboratory tests, procedures, and analyses with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include preparing samples, operating automated equipment and specialized instruments, performing complex tests, and accurately interpreting results promptly to assist clinicians in treatment decisions.

Qualifications
  • Entry-level position requiring an Associate degree in chemical science, biological science, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
  • National Registry for Medical Laboratory Technician (ASCP or equivalent) preferred.
  • Must be registry eligible.
  • Complete training in at least two rotations within the first six months of employment, as required by the hospital.
  • Strong analytical skills in language, math, and reasoning for data collection and scientific procedures.
  • Good communication skills with the public and hospital staff.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to perform other duties as assigned.
  • This position is authorized for 0.08 hours bi‑weekly.
