Job summary

Smith Nephew is seeking a Medical Education Graduate Intern in Durban to join the Medical Education team. The role provides practical exposure to planning and coordinating educational activities, courses and events for healthcare professionals, in line with local regulations and internal compliance.

You will support the execution of annual Medical Education plans, help prepare needs assessments, manage travel and documentation, and assist with conference logistics while learning the Engage

Qualifications

• Fluent written and verbal English.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to engage professionally with different stakeholders across management, sales and cross-functional teams.
• Interest in Medical Education, healthcare or the medical device industry.
• Ability to work effectively across cultures and time zones.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and coordination of educational activities and events for healthcare professionals.
• Prepare needs assessments, project briefs and planned activities.
• Learn the Engage process and support associated administrative tasks.
• Coordinate travel arrangements including visas, accommodation and transfers.
• Maintain records relating to events and compliance with regulations.
• Support organization of Medical Education events for nominated professionals.
• Collaborate with the country Medical Education team to ensure delivery of activities.
