Job summary

A leading medical institution in Springs is seeking an experienced Independent Medical Practitioner skilled in emergency medicine. You will manage patients in the emergency department, handle code blues, and perform emergency procedures. The ideal candidate holds an MBBCH/MBCHB, is registered with HPCSA, and has ACLS and PALS certifications. This role starts on 01 November 2025.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBCH/MBCHB) is required.
• Registration with HPCSA as an Independent Medical Practitioner is necessary.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are mandatory.

Job description

We are in search of a highly skilled and confident Independent Medical Practitioner, well versed in Emergency Medicine. The successful candidate should be comfortable managing a range of emergencies, from paediatric emergencies to toxicology and major trauma.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing patients in the emergency department and code blues in the hospital, ordering and performing investigations, stabilising patients, performing emergency procedures, and referring patients to the appropriate specialist if required.
