Recruit Assist is seeking a Mechatronics Engineer to support manufacturing facilities and related projects. The role blends mechanical, electrical, computer and software skills with smart technologies like robots and PLC-driven automation to underpin growth in automation.

Responsibilities cover project execution, maintenance, PLC programming, IT infrastructure, and database work, with a focus on uptime, documentation and cost control.

Qualifications

• BSc in Mechatronics or equivalent.
• 3-5 years PLC and computer programming experience.
• Advanced proficiency in IT and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Delphi, LabVIEW, C#, ASP.NET preferred.
• PLC programming knowledge (RS Logix 500/5000, Festo Codesys).
• Robot programming (Fanuc, Yaskawa, Denso).
• Machine automation, integration and controls experience.
• Windows Server management and IT infrastructure experience.
• Database development/administration (MySQL advantageous).
• Mechanical and basic electronic knowledge.
• Project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for assigned projects in line with divisional requirements.
• Control and maintain Mechatronics spare parts for the Plant.
• Perform timely mechatronics repairs and maintenance to plant equipment.
• Maintain backups of all software and PLC programs for plant and facilities.
• Respond promptly to faults and maintain machine uptime.
• Carry out effective troubleshooting and repairs.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance on facilities and attend to breakdowns.
• Support all departments with mechatronics requirements.
• Develop and build new mechatronics facilities.
• Facilitate PLC panel wiring and other machinery wiring.
• Conduct PLC and software programming tasks.
• Assist in upgrading facilities and electronic ideas.
• Ensure documentation is completed on time.
• Manage the network infrastructure.
• Oversee production IT systems and servers.
• Manage database administration and development.
• Maintain good housekeeping at all times.
• Work within budget constraints and timelines.
• Identify and maintain project timing.
