Qualifications

• . Mechatronic sub-system development and maintenance of mechatronic systems
• . Drive setup and tuning with Siemens and Kollmorgen hardware
• . Proficient with Siemens S7-1500 and FAULHABER/Motion Controllers
• . Experience with motion-control and electro-mechanical integration
• . Familiar with LabVIEW programming and structured development methods

Job description

Developer of high-tech instrumentation, electronics and mechanical systems seeks to employ a suitably qualified Mechatronics Engineer. You will support the team with motion control setup and fault-finding, drive setup and fault-finding, electronic, electrical, as well as electromechanical repairs and maintenance as well as support to projects during design, development, installation, acceptance testing and maintenance.

Based in Cape Town.

For the position you would be required to have:

· MUST HAVE B. Eng/ B. Sc in Mechatronics Engineering

· 3+ years’ experience post qualification in a similar environment

• Mechatronic sub-system development and/or experience in the maintenance and modifications of mechatronic systems
• Drive setup and tuning
• Experience with Siemens SIMATIC S7-1500 controllers
• Experience using Siemens SIMATIC Motion Control and FAULHABER Motion Controllers
• Setup and tuning of Siemens SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES and Kollmorgen AKD Servo Drives
• Experience in motion-control and electro-mechanical integrationExperience in a production environment with PLC's
• Familiarity with the LabVIEW programming language and structured software development methodologies
