About the Role

Our client is looking for a talented and driven Mechanical Systems Engineer with expertise in Automation to join their innovative team. This fully remote position is ideal for an engineer passionate about designing and implementing automated mechanical solutions that enhance efficiency and performance. You will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and testing sophisticated automated systems, working closely with software engineers and project managers in a virtual environment. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop complex mechanical systems for automated machinery, including robotics, conveyors, and specialized production equipment.
• Create detailed 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and manufacturing specifications for all mechanical components and assemblies.
• Perform mechanical calculations and simulations to ensure system robustness, efficiency, and safety under various operating conditions.
• Collaborate with control systems engineers to integrate mechanical designs with automation software and hardware.
• Oversee prototype development, testing, and validation of automated systems, troubleshooting and refining designs as needed.
• Document all design aspects, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and assembly instructions for efficient knowledge transfer within the remote team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, with a significant focus on automation and robotics.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools for mechanical analysis.
