Job summary

Cementation Africa is seeking a qualified Project Engineer (Mechanical) based in Bedfordview. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design of mechanical mine infrastructure and will manage design processes while ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

Applicants should possess a Mechanical Engineering degree, preferably with project management experience and excellent communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates from Historically Disadvantaged South Africans (HDSA) backgrounds who are South African Citizens or Permanent Residents.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent (MSc preferred).
• Registered with ECSA as a Pr. Eng or Candidate Engineer (preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Projects, PowerPoint).
• Valid driver’s licence and Passport required.

Responsibilities

• Design mechanical mine infrastructure related to underground operations.
• Manage design and drawing process within budget.
• Provide engineering designs and studies.
• Develop mechanical project documentation and presentations.
