Basic Requirements
  • Formal Tertiary education: National Diploma Mechanical Engineering
  • B.Eng Mechatronics or related experience
  • Drivers Licence: Code 8 required
Languages
  • English – Read, write and speak (required)
  • Afrikaans – Read, write and speak (optional)
  • German (Advantageous)
Experience

While formal qualifications are valuable, we prioritize candidates with the necessary skills, experience, and a proven ability to innovate in mechanical engineering.

  • Marketing and Sales experience – Advantage
  • Experience in automation field
  • Previous experience in Turnkey Projects – Advantage
  • Experience in concept preparation
  • Interpretation of Mechanical drawings
  • Process Engineering experience – Advantage
  • Mechanical Design experience – Advantage
  • Working knowledge of 2D / 3D CAD software
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word
  • Strong technical background required.

  • To work collaboratively within the project sales team and alongside electrical innovations engineers to ensure a fully integrated solution.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
Securing New Business
  • Responsible for developing Jendamark solutions for enquiries brought in by sales personnel
  • Assist the sales team with technical consultations and solutions for customer inquiries
  • Support sales person during presentations to customers and if required during negotiations
  • Establish concept designs based on solutions offered to customer
  • Develop process breakdowns and perform cycle time analyses
  • Performs CAD or process checks on existing facilities to determine capability of running new variants
  • Together with the sales engineer, prepare all the relevant documents for the hand over projects department, and perform the technical part of the hand over
  • Develop RFQ’s in order to obtain quotes from suppliers for specialty items needed for solutions offered, ie, Conveyors, AGVs etc.
Innovation & Research
  • Perform research on the latest technical developments, ie new components, software packages etc that can be used in our solutions using the following :
  • Internet research
  • Arranging meetings with suppliers
  • Attending trade shows
Customer & Project Support
  • Support the project team during design reviews and implementation
  • Assist with troubleshooting if need be.
General
  • Traveling – local and abroad if required
  • Overtime when required
  • Portray a positive image of Jendamark Automation at all times.
