Our client is a growing player in the water and wastewater treatment industry, specialising in the manufacture and installation of chemical dosing equipment. Based in the Firgrove Industrial Estate, the company values technical excellence, attention to detail, and solution-driven thinking across its close-knit team.

The Role: Mechanical Fitter

This role is ideal for a technically-minded individual who enjoys working with their hands and solving mechanical challenges. You will be responsible for the assembly, manufacturing, and site installation of dosing systems, applying your mechanical knowledge to ensure each project runs smoothly and to spec. It's a varied, physically active role with opportunities to develop leadership skills and grow your technical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply 1–3 years of experience in site installations, manufacturing, and mechanical assembly
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify effective solutions on-site and in-factory
  • Interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
  • Operate hand and machine tools for precise component fabrication
  • Assist with commissioning and maintenance of dosing equipment
  • Maintain high standards of safety when working at heights or in confined spaces
  • Interact effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients during installations
  • Ensure all tasks are completed according to schedules and engineering requirements
About You
  • N6 Mechanical qualification with a relevant trade test
  • 1–3 years of experience in mechanical fitting or similar role
  • Comfortable with physical work, working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and manufacturing processes
  • Able to read technical drawings and troubleshoot mechanical faults
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Intermediate level)
  • Valid and unendorsed Code 08 drivers license
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and solution-focused
