About the Role

Our client, a leading provider of industrial automation solutions, is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join their innovative team in Bloemfontein, Free State . This role focuses on the design, development, and integration of automated machinery and robotic systems for a variety of manufacturing and logistics applications. You will be involved in conceptual design, detailed component engineering, and system assembly, working closely with electrical engineers and software developers to deliver complete automated solutions. The hybrid work model allows for essential on-site collaboration and hands-on work with machinery, combined with flexible remote working periods for design and documentation tasks. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components and systems for industrial automation equipment using CAD software.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and assembly instructions.
• Collaborate with electrical and controls engineers to integrate mechanical designs with electrical systems and software.
• Perform calculations and basic simulations for structural integrity, kinematics, and dynamics.
• Assist in the assembly, testing, and commissioning of automated machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during development, testing, and production phases.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for existing automation solutions.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and technical records.

Requirements
