Job description
Purpose

Primary responsible for the complete engineering management discipline mechanical engineering with regards to project, maintenance, condition, risk, compliance and optimization management of mechanical infrastructure within the industrial, commercial and residential asset portfolio of Senwes in line with industry best practices of plant/asset engineering management.

Responsibilities
Portfolio planning, budgeting & administration
  • Planning, budgeting and prioritization of proposed works for the financial year by way
  • asset assessment
  • Assign risk scores to each function defined within the discipline framework
  • Demonstrate improvement on quality and accurateness of process by way of Portfolio
  • management register, client satisfaction with regards to the budget process
Portfolio condition management
  • Maintain, or improve, equipment, facilities, components, products, or systems
  • Conduct Mechanical Infrastructure Audits
  • Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design
  • specifications and safety or sanitation standards
  • Improve production efficiency and optimisation of fixed and variable cost spending
  • Perform risk assessments
Portfolio compliance management
  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational, safety, or environmental standards
  • Conduct Mechanical Infrastructure Inspections & Audits to determine if they meet specifications or standards
  • Identify environmental risks and develop risk management strategies for mechanical engineering projects
Capital project & procurement execution
  • Developing capital project programs for new equipment or major repairs.
  • Identify customer requirements and liaise with clients & contractors.
  • Direct or coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, or testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements.
  • Lead internal & external role players as part of multi-disciplinary project team to achieve project management objectives by way of co-ordinate work with other disciplines such as Civil, Electrical & Commercial, etc.
  • Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, or installation standards or specifications and Provide specialist technical input.
  • Compile CAPEX for project & estimate operational costs, estimate labour, material, or construction costs for budget preparation purposes
