  • Conduct tolerance analysis and stress simulations.
  • Support testing for environmental robustness (vibration, temperature, sealing).
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with electronics, firmware, and industrial design teams to integrate PCBs, batteries, antennas, and connectors into enclosures.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners (local and international) on mold fabrication, production, and quality checks.
  • Research new materials, manufacturing methods, and processes.
  • Drive improvements in mechanical reliability, weight, and production cost.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of plastics, polymers, and metals used in electronic product housings.
  • Understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly).
  • Experience producing manufacturing drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
Preferred / Nice to Have
  • Familiarity with PCB and electronics integration into housings.
  • Familiarity with electronics circuit design and firmware development.
  • Experience with sealing designs for ruggedized or waterproof devices (IP ratings).
  • Basic knowledge of thermal management for electronic enclosures.
  • Exposure to compliance / certification requirements (CE, ICASA, FCC, RoHS).
Soft Skills
  • Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking.
  • Attention to detail and ability to balance design with cost/manufacturing constraints.
