Job summary

A reputable vehicle maintenance company in Cape Town is seeking a Newly Qualified Diesel Technician to maintain their fleet and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a Red Seal Trade Test, a Code 10 Drivers License, and at least 2 years of experience in a similar environment. Responsibilities include responding to breakdowns, inspecting equipment, and maintaining an electronic maintenance system, all in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Hold a minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent.
• Possess a Newly / Recently Qualified Diesel Mechanic Red Seal Trade Test certificate.
• Hold a Code 10 Drivers License and valid PDP.
• Have at least 2 years' experience in truck fleet maintenance.

Responsibilities

About the Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our fleet and equipment in a fast-paced environment.

They must be physically able to handle materials and tools, and have sober habits.

• Respond to breakdowns and repair or replace as necessary
• Inspect, maintain, and repair our fleet and equipment on a regular basis
• Work effectively with an Electronic Maintenance system

Requirements

• Hold a minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Possess a Newly / Recently Qualified Diesel Mechanic Red Seal Trade Test certificate
• Hold a Code 10 Drivers License and valid PDP
• Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar environment specializing in truck fleet maintenance
