Job summary

A leading security services provider in Roodepoort is seeking a Mechanic to repair and maintain company vehicles. The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of diesel mechanics experience and a qualified trade certificate in mechanics. This full-time role requires physical fitness and the ability to work under pressure. Overtime and irregular hours may be required.

Qualifications

• Clear criminal record.
• At least 5 years diesel mechanics experience.
• Valid driver's license (code 10 is advantageous).
• Must be physically fit and able to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Rebuild diesel and petrol engines.
• Servicing and day-to-day maintenance of vehicles.
• Compile paperwork for each vehicle.

Job description

Mechanic

The above position is vacant at our Roodepoort Helderkruikn Site. The overall purpose of this position is to repair the company vehicles when needed.

Qualifications

• Clear criminal record
• Qualified Trade certificate in diesel / petrol mechanics to work on various vehicles
• At least 5 years diesel mechanics experience
• Experience with Toyota Dynas; Hino 300s; Hilux D4Ds; Nissan MP200s is an advantage
• Valid drivers license (code 10 is advantageous)
• Own transport is advantageous
• Able to work under pressure unsupervised and multitask
• Must be prepared to work irregular hours i.e. standby duties; shifts and overtime
• Physically fit

Job Specification

• Rebuild a diesel and petrol engine (various makes of vehicles)
• Servicing of vehicles
• Perform day to day maintenance on vehicles
• Compile paperwork for each vehicle
• Performing basic workshop duties
