Job description

To implement and maintain a profitable business model for the Meat Markets department, adhering to all policies and procedures.

Conducting Meat Market training at our offices, schools, and stores. The job objectives include:

  1. Designing a profitable business model and ensuring its implementation.
  2. Ensuring national Meat Market policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to.
  3. Implementing and adhering to Food Safety and Hygiene procedures and policies.
  4. Quality assessing and controlling convenience foods suppliers.
  5. Managing the Meat Market training school efficiently.
  6. Providing input regarding maintenance of butchery equipment.
  7. Providing suggestions on Meat Market layout and equipment.
  8. Ensuring implementation of and adherence to processing and production procedures and policies.
  9. Ensuring adherence to meat cutting standards, procedures, and policies.

Qualifications (Essential):

  • Matric or equivalent to a National Senior Certificate.
  • Minimum of 6 to 8 years of butchery experience.

Desirable:

  • Manufacturing experience.
  • Cost accounting.

Knowledge and Skills (Essential):
