Job summary

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 with Accounting and 1-2 years of relevant experience, preferably in an FMCG environment.
  • Three-year tertiary Finance qualification.
  • Computer literate with exposure to SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Control all material under production jurisdiction, including issues and returns.
  • Coordinate and report on daily production.
  • Perform daily floor stock counts.
  • Track consumption and returns on SAP.
  • Investigate material variances.
  • Assist with material trials and stock reconciliation.
  • Alert planning of material shortages.
  • Provide decision support to management.
  • Work with mill operations to investigate results.
  • Prepare daily production reconciliation reports.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Control all material under the jurisdiction of production, including material issues, returns, and physical stock on the production floor.
  • Coordinate and report on daily production.
  • Check and control production material floor stock: perform daily floor stock counts at required times and meet month‑end deadlines.
  • Track consumption and returns of material on SAP (finishing and raw materials).
  • Investigate material variances daily, including analysis of material quality.
  • Assist the operations team with material trials and reconcile physical stock with SAP after each production run, ensuring all adjustments are processed.
  • Alert planning in advance of any material shortages to enable timely procurement of new material.
  • Ensure adherence to financial procedures during stock counts and reconciliations.
  • Provide timely and accurate decision support, reporting to management to optimise manufacturing cost and meet plant objectives.
  • Work with the mill operations team to investigate results and adverse trends, communicate outcomes, and suggest corrective actions to relevant individuals.
  • Prepare daily production reconciliation reports, declare and reconcile production and machine hours, and track total waste trends with weekly updates.

Job Requirements
