Job summary

Qualifications
  • A Grade 12 certificate.
  • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Public Management or equivalent.
  • Experience in a public hospital environment an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of SCM policies and processes (PPPFA, PFMA etc.).
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with SRM / SAP.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and client‑oriented skills.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, work under pressure and in a team.
  • Willingness to work overtime when required.
Responsibilities
  • Inventory management processes including issuing stock as per internal requisitions to respective Cost Centres.
  • Prepare monthly Cost Centres report before budget meetings.
  • Record proper stock movement by updating tally card for items issued to End User on VA10, VA4, VA5, VA8 and VA9.
  • Conduct sample stock take, maintain stock control as per regulations and allocate period stock take process.
  • Ensure prompt replenishment of stock as per minimum and maximum stock levels and compile monthly stock reconciliation.
  • Conduct monthly spot checks to rectify discrepancies and perform monthly inventory statistics.
  • Handle end‑user queries and report on progress.
  • Support the web cycle and transit office with functions such as receiving, verification of deliveries and capturing of GRN/GRV on SAP/SRM including updating weekly receipts report.
  • Clear work‑cycle and prepare VA10 for stock replenishment.
  • Compile and submit reports as per relevant function and support the Stores Assistant with queries.
