Placements24 is seeking a highly skilled Master Automotive Diagnostician for our premier service center in Cape Town. You will tackle the most challenging diagnostic issues across a diverse vehicle fleet, using OEM-level tools and advanced scan equipment to ensure vehicle integrity and performance.

You will lead diagnostics, interpret service bulletins, mentor junior technicians, and document all findings. A minimum of 7 years' experience, strong analytical ability, and excellent communication

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as an Automotive Diagnostician or Master Technician.
• Expertise diagnosing engine performance, electrical systems, and hybrid/EV components.
• ASE certifications (A6, A8, L1, L3) or equivalent are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-depth diagnostics on complex vehicle issues using advanced scan tools and oscilloscopes.
• Analyze data to identify root causes and recommend repair strategies.
• Interpret service bulletins and repair procedures to ensure accurate work.
• Conduct final quality checks to meet performance and safety standards.
• Mentor junior technicians and share diagnostic expertise.
• Maintain detailed repair orders documenting steps and findings.
