A leading legal services provider in Cape Town is seeking a Marketing Operations Specialist who will drive campaign execution and coordinate deliverables within the marketing team. The ideal candidate will have a background in marketing operations, strong organizational skills, and experience in coordinating events. As our Marketing operations specialist you'll run the engine room of our marketing function.
You’ll plan campaigns, coordinate deliverables, keep timelines tight and make sure our events, content and collateral land exactly where they need to – feeding our sales pipeline and driving real commercial impact.
Working closely with our marketing manager, in‑house designer and BD team, you’ll help turn strategy into execution and keep the full marketing workflow running smoothly across the UK and South Africa.

Campaign and content execution – Keep a close eye on engagement metrics and make sure high‑performing campaigns or mailers are followed up by the right teams, so leads don’t go cold.
Build and manage campaign calendars across LinkedIn, email, website, and community channels.
Draft short, clear copy for LinkedIn posts and supporting campaign messaging.
Upload, schedule and publish content with precision.
Keep every campaign on track by coordinating deliverables from design, marketing and internal.
Support personalised outreach by coordinating tailored collateral for key prospects and accounts.
Maintain strong quality control across formatting, accuracy and brand consistency.
Own the marketing operations calendar and keep the entire workflow moving.
Ensure tasks, deadlines and approvals are clear, timely and well‑managed across the team.
Maintain shared libraries, templated, brand assets so the team has what they need at their fingertips.
Coordinate the production of marketing submission and collateral.
Keep campaign records, checklists and work‑back plans organised and up to date.
Track basic campaign and event performance metrics.
Prepare simple, clear reports on engagement, attendance and lead generation.
Highlight which activities drive the strongest MQLs for the BD team.
Bring events to life by coordinating all logistics for webinars, client gatherings, sponsorship activities, dinners, and community gatherings.
Own timelines, run sheets, vendors, RSVP’s and attendee engagement from start to finish.
Support the delivery of online events on Teams and Zoom.
Work closely with the marketing support role.
Capture post event leads and ensure smooth handover to the BD team. Work closely with the marketing manager and designer to prepare all required collateral.
Manage major award submissions and ranking projects, including Chambers and Partners and event‑driven outreaches from planning to final delivery.
Support internal communications projects throughout the year, including WhatsApp group, HiBob (e.g. Heritage day, Independence Day, Cognia annual birthday etc). Oversee brand and marketing assets and ensure everything stays on standard.
The requirements for the role include the following: Experience in marketing operations, campaign coordination, or project‑driven marketing work / Strong organisational, planning and written communication skills.
Experience coordinating events end to end, both virtually and in‑person.
Comfortable working with data, pulling basic reports and identifying simple trends.
Familiarity with LinkedIn and content management tools.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and adapt to shifting priorities.
Skilled at coordinating stakeholders across different teams and various time zones.
Experience working within professional services or a similar structured, client‑facing environment.
Training or certification in project management.
