A leading marketing agency in South Africa is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead the marketing department. This role requires a minimum of 8 years of Sales & Marketing experience, including at least 4 years in management within the FMCG sector. The successful candidate will drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and revenue growth through strategic marketing initiatives. Business or marketing-related degree or equivalent professional qualification
8 years of Sales & Marketing experience with at least 4 years in managerial role in FMCG
Proven experience in managing creative teams
Conceptual creative development across design / art direction, copy and content
Demonstrated experience in social media and e-commerce
Customer service orientated

Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies to strengthen brand positioning and market share
Convert agreed upon marketing plans and strategies into feasible, workable project plans
Plan and oversee marketing campaigns, promotions, events, and digital initiatives that resonate with target customers
Conduct market research to understand consumer preferences, trends, and competitor activities
Build strategic partnerships to enhance brand exposure and market reach
Lead digital marketing initiatives including social media, e-commerce, and online customer engagement
Optimize in‑store marketing, visual merchandising, and customer experience to grow brand equity
Monitor marketing ROI and continuously refine campaigns for effectiveness
Provide creative direction for major brand and marketing initiatives, including product launches, growth campaigns, events, and brand awareness efforts
Lead the ongoing development and evolution of our brand identity
Take a hands‑on role in creating core brand assets including logos, design systems, and key campaign visuals, ensuring they are strategically aligned and visually compelling
Partner closely with the content / copywriting team to craft messaging aligned with tone of voice and campaign objectives
Work alongside the video team to shape storytelling concepts and branded video content
Creative development and reviews – responsible for driving all creative outputs
Workflow processes – Optimize or strengthen existing workflow processes to ensure campaign deadlines are met
Assist with production management for relevant campaigns
Media strategy – Contribute to media strategy, planning and best practice across all campaigns
Manage and collaborate with external creative agencies and partners
Align with sales department to drive sales objectives across customer segments.
Monitor distribution and implement marketing improvement strategies per channel, to support sales department
Develop new business opportunities and explore expansion into new markets
Manage key client relationships and ensure high customer satisfaction
Managing marketing budget compliance
Reporting weekly, monthly and quarterly on marketing metrics
Participate in safety forums and attend relevant training / programmes
Report all safety incidents to the relevant people
Comply with safety policies and procedures
Wear protective clothing (where applicable) at all times
