Job summary

Marketing Manager

Based in Pietermaritzburg. The main purpose of the function is to lead and implement the company's local and international marketing strategy, manage brand positioning, market development, and customer engagement.

Key Functions
  • Develop, implement, and manage marketing strategies to drive growth in local and international markets.
  • Assume accountability for the company's print, online presence and social media marketing strategies.
  • Build, maintain and strengthen agent / customer relationships in various sectors.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, agent / customer needs, and competitive trends across targeted regions.
  • Collaborate and manage marketing objectives of the company with agents, customers, and partners in local and international markets.
  • Plan, coordinate, and attend local and international trade fairs, exhibitions, and industry networking events.
  • Develop, maintain and improve pricing strategies in conjunction with Managing Director, Financial Director, Commercial and Shipping Managers.
  • Facilitate product trials with agents / customers.
Minimum Requirements
  • Grade 12 with Core Maths and Science.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or related field.
  • A completed Bachelor of Sciences degree in Chemistry / Agricultural Sciences, and or a qualification in / Water Treatment would be a distinct advantage.
  • 5 years of working experience in a similar role with a strong understanding of international marketing strategies and cross-cultural communication.
  • Demonstrated success in managing product positioning and brand growth in competitive markets.
  • Experience in market research, campaign management, and trade fair participation.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Suite.
  • A basic understanding of the Windows Operating system, being able to navigate the internet and use search engines effectively.
  • Will be traveling local and internationally.
  • Must have own reliable vehicle. Salary market related.
