About the Role

The Marketing Account Manager works with the Senior Marketing Manager to coordinate all marketing and digital advertising activities and executions for both iStore and our partner regional marketing initiatives across the continent. Responsibilities include ideation, concept development, internal creative briefs and reviews, external media agency briefings, frequent budget and performance optimisations, and high levels of agility and pro‑activity. The role also covers weekly newsletter database email communication planning and execution, performance analysis and monthly reporting for all activities, and financial administration and billing for all above‑the‑line digital marketing costs. Strong written and verbal skills, excellent organisational and project management abilities, the capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and a data‑driven analytical approach are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan iStore and partner media strategies together with the Senior Marketing Manager, aligned to marketing plan & strategy and business objectives (including Google, Social media ads, YouTube, Premium Placements, ATL, BTL, TTL, and in‑store, etc).
  • Coordinate internal creative and external marketing briefs related to paid marketing.
  • Develop marketing project plans with budgets that include target market, objectives and timelines.
  • Serve as iStore Africa brand custodian / champion ensuring all communication aligns with brand guidelines.
  • Pro‑active planning and re‑alignment of digital marketing collateral as required.
  • Manage relationships with key external partners & agencies related to Media, ATL, BTL, TTL & Digital Marketing.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders as required.
  • Create, manage, set up and monitor all advertising campaigns.
  • Coordinate weekly customer digital newsletters for digital communications.
  • Handle bundle and pricing management for weekly newsletter content and support sales teams.
  • Digital and social media marketing.
  • Monthly advertising effectiveness reports and post‑campaign feedback / analysis reports.
  • Prepare Proof of Action documents.
  • Administer monthly budget reporting.
  • Raise Purchase Orders on Syspro for engaged suppliers or as requested by the Marketing manager.
  • Ensure invoices received from suppliers match PO’s within payment time‑frames, including invoice sign‑off.
Educational Qualifications
  • Matric.
  • Completed Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field.
Experience Required
  • 3+ years’ experience in B2B Marketing Coordination or Agency Account Management.
  • Disciplined approach – punctual, strong attendance record, responsive to stakeholders and returning calls.
