Applications are invited for the Marketing Coordinator position to be based in Giyani.
Purpose of the role
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for the management of local marketing in a specific Herotel Regional office.
Key performance areas include, but are not limited to:
- Ensures all marketing activities align with national marketing strategy. Majority of role involves brand activation (70‑80%) with supporting activities.
- Brand activations
- Creates pop‑up sales offices / information kiosks while fibre projects are under construction.
- Mobilises regional resources to staff kiosks, events, etc., ensuring proper training and appearance.
- Finds or creates events for brand activation, aiming for brand awareness.
- Generates awareness at sponsored events such as golf days, festivals, etc.
- Conducts flyer drops and knocks on doors if required.
- Identifies sponsorship opportunities and capitalises on them.
- Provides fibre permission in‑field support.
- Manages all activations in person, which requires working Saturdays with the following Monday off.
- Social media publishing
- Maintains local Facebook pages, updating with relevant local content per digital strategy.
- Website map maintenance
- Ensures the national website contains the latest coverage maps.
- Works closely with head office to identify long‑term brand awareness opportunities, including outdoor billboards, radio stations, and print media.
- Reporting
- Manages budget, ensuring marketing spend aligns with fibre‑take‑up rate targets.
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills
- 2 to 5 years’ experience managing marketing needs for multiple branches.
- Willing and able to travel at least 2‑3 times a month.
- Willing to work on Saturdays at activations as required; Monday will be granted off.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Ability to work quickly and under pressure.
- Problem‑solving skills.
- Time management skills.
- Team player.
- Communication skills (written and verbal).
Education requirements
- Relevant qualification in marketing is an advantage.
