Marketing and Campaign Assistant

KEY PURPOSE
To create brand and communication solutions that enable business to meet their objectives by:
- Deliver the right message to the right member at the right time using the right channel.
 
- Build and send communication to members, advisers and staff where applicable to support Discovery's communication strategy.
 
- Work with stakeholders in various marketing teams to deliver best practice and cutting-edge communications and journeys.
 
Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to
- Understand the data that drives communication segmentation.
 
- Be able to build and monitor communication journeys.
 
- Be able to send multi-channel communication including emails, SMS, WhatsApp, Push notifications.
 
- Report on communications including test and learn results.
 
- Suggest ways to optimise campaign success.
 
- Monitor member fatigue and consider scheduling of campaigns and fatigue rules.
 
- Ensure solutions are in line with Discovery marketing model.
 
- Build and maintain relationships with key business stakeholders, at an operational level.
 
Campaign delivery and management
- Directly create and deliver high-quality communication campaigns.
 
- Work with Group, InHouse, Adviser and DIT teams to deliver communications as part of their strategies.
 
- Deliver campaigns that are relevant and appealing to target audiences.
 
- Ensure each campaign has clear metrics that are aligned to business objectives.
 
- Implement and follow campaign processes.
 
Campaign analytics
- Carry out post-campaign analysis to report KPIs and distribute learnings.
 
- Analyse key marketing metrics to ensure campaigns are meeting goals.
 
- Analyse email campaigns to make recommendations for enhancing their effectiveness.
 
- Continuously implement and report on multivariate testing of subject lines, message, content, images, offers, mailing frequency, segments.
 
- Apply industry and international best practice and learnings.

- Understanding of different Discovery audiences.
 
- Understanding various media channels, including electronic Discovery's products and business processes.
 
- Key individuals in Discovery and who to go to for what.
 
- HTML knowledge an advantage.
 
- Salesforce experience an advantage.
 
- WhatsApp – Meta message creation knowledge an advantage.

Campaign management
- Experience in relevant field with tools, email campaign building, and list selection.
 
- Experience on Salesforce preferred, or Everlytic an advantage.
 
- HTML experience would be an advantage.

- Ability to define new audience types.
 
- Good understanding of database concepts and segmentation.
 
- Expertise in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Exploring AI capabilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-year undergraduate; Post graduate qualification in marketing is preferable.
 
- Relevant industry qualification is advantageous.
 
- Experience in Marketing or Communication is advantageous.
 
- Experience on Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred.
 
- HTML experience would be an advantage.
