Our client based in Pretoria is currently seeking to appoint a "Marketing Events Manager" to join their team. Salary R30 000 CTC p/m.

Job Description

Ground Culture is a company that aims to integrate cultures in South Africa. Ground Culture Cafe is the largest comedy club in the country, with a presence in Observatory and three satellite stores (fixed Food Trucks) in Claremont, Sea Point and Table View. The role includes two parts: marketing management to drive sales (including via Uber Eats) and event scheduling to keep the calendar full with comedians every night. The candidate will work with an operational team to grow the business and expand to additional stores, events, and festivals.

Responsibilities

  • Marketing management: execute advertising strategies to drive sales across stores and Uber Eats; grow store footprint; develop and implement marketing campaigns.
  • Event management: organize comedians nightly, build and fill the event calendar, and devise marketing strategies to sell out shows.
  • External engagements: contact event organizers and Festivals to secure placements; manage relationships with partners and communities.
  • Operations liaison: coordinate with the operations team; manage stores expansion and festival appearances.

Skills Required

  • Knowledge of Meta Ads and Google Ads
  • Strong community connections in Cape Town with understanding of local markets
  • Graphic design experience
  • Marketing degree (nice to have but not essential)
  • Ability to scale a company and work with AI platforms

Experience
