  • Fill the event calendar and secure bookings for the cafe.
  • Contact event organisers and secure sponsorships for festivals and events in Cape Town.

Overview

Ground Culture is a company that aims to integrate cultures in South Africa. Its brand has been increasing in popularity quickly over the last few years.

Ground Culture Cafe is the largest comedy club in the country, having hosted comedians such as Barry Hilton, Rob van Vuuren, Riaad Moosa, Nik Rabinowitz, Alfred Adriaan, Nina Hastie, Loyisa Gola and many more.

Ground Culture operates a comedy club in Observatory and 3 satellite stores (fixed Food Trucks) in Claremont, Sea Point and Table View. It also has a Tuk Tuk and plans to expand to 5 food trucks by the time you are hired.

Marketing Manager Role

As Marketing Manager you will ensure effective advertising strategies to drive sales from our stores and via Uber Eats. You will also keep the event calendar for Ground Culture Cafe full by organising comedians each night and selling out every show.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Meta Ads and Google Ads.
  • Strong community connections in Cape Town with a good understanding of how to reach local audiences.
  • Marketing degree preferred but not essential.
  • Graphic design experience.
  • Track record of scaling a company.
  • Experience using AI platforms.
