Position Overview
Our client is looking for a brilliant Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join their company in Cape Town.
As our Marketing & Communications Coordinator, you will play a key role in driving the company's internal and external communications, marketing campaigns and digital presence – both for the company and on our client accounts.
This role combines strategy with hands‑on execution, making it ideal for someone who thrives on both creativity and delivery.
You will ensure our brand voice remains consistent, manage our digital platforms and coordinate dynamic projects across multiple geographies.
You will play a crucial role in coordinating the delivery of marketing services to our diverse client base across our varied service offering.
Your role will require flexibility between supporting, partnering and leading the team across multiple disciplines, giving you exposure to the full marketing mix and opportunities to deepen your skillset.
Key Accountabilities
Social Media & Digital Marketing
Support the development and implementation of social media plans for the company and our clients, including but not limited to:
- Creating, scheduling, and publishing content across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), and other platforms.
- Manage and grow online communities, fostering authentic engagement.
- Monitor trends, hashtags, and competitor activity to inform content strategies.
- Support digital campaigns, including email marketing, SEO, website updates, and paid advertising.
- Track and report on performance analytics, sharing insights to drive improvement.
Prepare monthly client reports.
Communications
- Draft, proofread, and distribute impactful internal and external communications.
- Maintain brand consistency across all platforms and collateral.
- Support video and multimedia productions, from concept to publication.
PR & Reporting
- Support the development and execution of PR strategies for the company and our clients.
- Manage PR accounts and liaise with media, journalists, and industry partners.
- Draft and distribute press releases, media kits, and thought‑leadership content.
- Track, monitor, and report on media coverage and campaign effectiveness.
- Pile monthly PR and marketing performance reports with insights and recommendations.
- Oversee the relationship with our media monitoring supplier.
Event Coordination
- Play a pivotal role in executing our event plans.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and on‑budget.
- Support in the creative ideation of events.
- Provide research and administrative support.
Project Coordination & Administration
- Coordinate creative and marketing projects across teams and external partners.
- Manage calendars, events, vendors, and admin tasks for the marketing function.
- Conduct research and competitive analysis to support campaigns.
- Take responsibility for company-wide knowledge management.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (any discipline) or Diploma in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field.
Desirable
- Certifications in digital marketing, content creation, social media management, graphic design, or video production.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 1–5 years’ experience in marketing, communications, or digital/social media.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Hands‑on experience managing brand social media accounts.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, content strategy, SEO, and analytics tools.
- Basic design skills and video editing experience are a plus.
- Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and project management ability.
